ABOUT US

Fore the Troops is a nonprofit charitable organization that raises money to support philanthropic organizations focused on programs and support of military personnel and their families.

During his daughter's first deployment as a naval officer- founder Cory Lock knew he wanted to contribute to the well-being and morale of our service men and women.  As an avid golfer- it didn't take long to dream up Fore the Troops.  With its first outing in 2010 and officially incorporated as a non-profit in 2015– the mission of Fore the Troops is to provide monetary support to local philanthropic organizations focused on programs and support of military personnel and their families.

Yearly, Fore the Troops sponsors a golf outing on the 1st Monday of June where proceeds from the outing are donated to a targeted organization.

Prior to working at the Bucks IU, Deb served in a variety of teaching and administrative positions, including an elementary school and middle school principal. Deb holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, certification in early childhood education, and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership. She earned her principal’s certification, Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility, and Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Widener University.

Deb brings the same passion that drove her 27 years in education to the work of Fore the Troops. As a blue star mom, she knows firsthand the impact of the mission and the importance of ongoing support for our service men and women and their families.  Deb recently retired to Delaware and enjoys walks to the pier, traveling with her husband Cory and crabbing and kayaking on the bay with her grandchildren.
